The 2010 Masters punctuates tw0 important changes in the future chemistry of the PGA.
The first is the triumph of good over evil... which always plays well at the box office. Family man and devoted husband... and all around nice guy Phil Mickelson triumphs over Tiger (and others) in a battle of wills. His emotions in check, Phil wins with grace and a patient determination that only experience and character can provide.
The second change is one I equate with the major league baseball strike of 1994. After the strike, I wasn't as much of a fan as I was before the strike. This extents both to players and fans. Not only has Tiger's fan base diminished, his unbeatable persona has diminished as well. Players know they can beat him and this will make a huge difference in the competition level on tour.
He will set records, he will dominate... but not as before. He has, after all his indiscretions... become as mortal as the rest of us....
